Tips for travelling by bus
Equipment and luggage
Eskelinen buses have plenty of luggage space, which makes travelling easy for both everyday trips and holidaymakers. You can take large suitcases, sports equipment and, in winter, skis, snowboards and snowshoes, for example, at no extra charge.
Pushchairs and other equipment needed by families can also be easily transported. Bicycles and sledges can be taken along for an extra charge of €15. Pets €10 extra.
Seasons and travel tips
Travel in Lapland is strongly seasonal. The winter season is the busiest, with more services serving skiing, downhill skiing and Christmas tourism. We recommend booking your tickets early, especially at weekends and during holiday periods.
You should also be prepared for Lapland’s changing weather – adequate equipment will make the journey and the wait for the bus pleasant in all seasons.
